Biography
I am a self taught Maine artist whose journey is as rich and varied as my art work. Originally a nurse practitioner, my path shifted toward the creative after participating in medical missions-most notably working with patients affected by severe cataracts and other genetic and visual disorders ( many since childhood) from all over the world. These life changing experiences inspired me to view the world through a new lens, both literally and artistically.
Blending my background with an artistic voice, my work offers a unique and different perspective , often exploring themes of environmental awareness, human perception, and the shared human experience.. In keeping with my commitment to health and healing, a portion of my proceeds supports women's health research, education and prevention initiatives.
